What is the Pursuit of Nappiness?

The Pursuit of Nappiness is a t-shirt line designed to encourage and involve the conscious mind on a journey towards loving, accepting, and having pride for your roots. To create a network of support for purpose driven individuals that inspire and encourage the world. And to utilize art as a medium to reach others.

When the vision came to me I knew I had to get others on board.  I feel like our generation is not consciously connected. We are on our paths but we are not aware of what or who is around us. Nor do we know where we come from. If you don’t know where you come from, your history, your roots,  or your culture (you do have one), then what path are you really on? There is a disconnect; we need to connect again and become aware.

When you hear “Nappiness” you think of hair that is thick, coiled, and hard to get into. I think of our history. Deeply rooted, it’s coiled and tight because there is a lot of information to discover.

Once you awaken knowledge will find you. I encourage our generation to talk to our mothers, fathers, grandparents, and elders.  When we gain the knowledge of where we come from and what we have been through as a people, we can use it to push & drive us forward.  And to seek knowledge from books (they hide things in those). The internet is a great source as well.
